The Remarkable Woman Luncheon 2025: Letters, Light & Legacy
This August, the Iconic Conference Venue in Randburg came alive with warmth, elegance, and sisterhood as women gathered for the annual Remarkable Woman Luncheon — an inspiring celebration hosted under The MIChiko Group, founded by visionary entrepreneur Loraine MaKhumalo Sibanda.
Now in its annual stride, the luncheon has become more than an event. It is a moment of reflection, reconnection, and recognition. This year’s theme, “Letters, Light & Legacy,” invited women to pause, pen their truths, and honour the stories that have shaped them.
Letters: Stories That Speak
The afternoon opened with heartfelt reflections, in which women shared their personal “letters” — to their younger selves, to God, or to the women who came before them. The theme served as a gentle reminder that every woman’s story matters, and that our words carry healing, history, and hope. Speakers such as Yvette Aloe, Miss Thabi, and Miss B graced the stage with powerful messages that moved the room to deep reflections and laughter alike.
Yvette Aloe spoke on healing from the past, on having the ladies write a letter to their past selves, and on the power of self-awareness and creating boundaries for themselves.
Miss Thabi inspired attendees to live authentically, embracing every part of their womanhood.
Miss B reminded us that purpose often blooms from pain and that our stories are sacred seeds of transformation.
Light: Illuminating the Path
As the afternoon unfolded, the energy in the room shimmered with light — the kind that radiates from women who see, support, and celebrate one another. The event’s essence was beautifully captured by its radiant host, Miss Thabi, who, alongside her co-host. The luncheon also welcomed VIP guests who embody excellence and impact — Rosheen Ngorima, founder of the Female Founders Initiative Global, and Tshego Kekana, respected PR Maven and Entrepreneur, whose presence echoed the importance of women championing women across industries.
Legacy: Building Beyond Ourselves
Every detail of the luncheon — from the ambiance to the heartfelt conversations — reflected the MIChiko Group’s commitment to empowering women to build legacies that outlive them. Under the leadership of Loraine MaKhumalo Sibanda, this platform continues to nurture spaces where women can connect, collaborate, and craft purposeful futures.
“Letters, Light & Legacy” reminded us that legacy is not something we leave behind — it’s something we live every day.
Until Next Time
As guests departed, they carried more than just memories. They carried letters to their future selves, a renewed sense of light, and the courage to continue writing their legacy.
The Remarkable Woman Luncheon 2025 was not just a gathering — it was a movement of women writing history together, one story, one light, and one legacy at a time.
